Otium Appoints Éric Massou as General Manager to Lead Its Next Phase of Growth and Deliver Its Long-Term Ambitions

15 Jun 2026 Press Release Nomination

Paris, 15 June 2026 – Otium, the long-term investment platform and partner of choice for entrepreneurs since 2009, today announces the appointment of Éric Massou as General Manager, effective immediately. Previously Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Group Chief Financial Officer, he will be responsible for advancing the firm’s institutional development and overseeing the growth of its investment portfolio.

Following an exceptional period of growth and investment that has increased assets to more than €1.8 billion, Otium is entering a new phase focused on the development of its portfolio companies and investment verticals, with the ambition of surpassing €5 billion in assets in five years. In his new role, Éric Massou will oversee all operations across the investment platform.

To support Otium’s continued scaling and long-term ambitions, Éric Massou’s roadmap will focus on three key priorities:

  • Driving portfolio performance by supporting the growth, profitability and value creation of the Group’s more than 130 portfolio companies.
  • Embedding operational excellence through the implementation of the processes and infrastructure required to support Otium’s growing institutional scale.
  • Strengthening alignment across the investment platform around a shared strategic vision, while preserving the agility and entrepreneurial autonomy of Otium’s various investment verticals.

“Éric Massou’s appointment marks a new milestone in Otium’s development. Having doubled our assets in just three years, we now operate a unique investment platform in Europe, supported by more than 130 portfolio companies and several specialised investment verticals. Éric’s track record within the Group, his deep understanding of our activities and his expertise in capital management make him the natural leader to guide Otium through its next stage of growth and help deliver our ambition of reaching €5 billion in assets in five years,” said Pierre-Édouard Stérin, Chairman and Founder of Otium.

“I am honoured by the trust Pierre-Édouard Stérin has placed in me. Otium has built a unique value creation model that combines an entrepreneurial DNA, leading investment expertise and the power of long-term capital to support entrepreneurs across a wide range of sectors. My priority will be to further strengthen this value creation capability by supporting the development of our portfolio companies and helping build the platforms that will drive Otium’s future growth. We will do so with the operational excellence required by this new stage of our development, while continuing to leverage the deep sector expertise of our teams,” said Éric Massou, General Manager of Otium.
